MONTEREY PARK, CA- East Los Angeles College received another historic donation of hand sanitizing wipes, disinfecting wipes and disinfecting spray valued at over $225,000.00.
The generous donation was made by Los Angeles based SONO Healthcare. SONO Healthcare manufactures EPA registered, Hospital Grade disinfectants that have been tested for compatibility against medical devices and effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Fortunately, the donation could not be timelier as the College prepares to re-open at the end of August. Many students, faculty and staff, and their families need hospital-grade disinfectants due to COVID-19 and the recent surge of delta variants. This donation could certainly help with the costs affiliated with such necessities.
“As schools begin to implement disinfecting policies on their campuses to provide a clean and safe environment for their staff and students, we are concerned that institutions will automatically go after the cost-effective solution versus the products that have been tested for compatibility against the surfaces they are used on, said SONO Healthcare President and CEO, Arman Semerjian. This is going to add unnecessary costs to schools as they start to replace Chromebooks, desks, chairs, and gym equipment due to the damage the disinfectants will cause. We are not new to this, said Semerjian. Our products have saved the healthcare industry millions of dollars in equipment replacement costs since 2013 and we hope to be proactive with schools as they prepare to open to the public”.
