East Los Angeles College Receives $25,000 Scholarships From Edison International
Monterey, CA- East Los Angeles College (ELAC) Foundation is proud to announce that ELAC has been awarded $25,000 to provide financial assistance to students pursuing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors.
Since 2014 Edison International has continuously supported ELAC students pursuing STEM majors with scholarships while sponsoring ELAC's Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony. This Spring, Edison International, once again, will provide 25 $1000 scholarships to ELAC students.
"As a long-time corporate partner of the ELAC Foundation, Edison is proudly humbled to have been able to maintain our commitment to helping these deserving students transform their lives. The ELAC Foundation Board continues to support our students and their families, especially those experiencing food and housing insecurity. We hope our support can help close the gap, even if it is a small percentage," said Marissa Castro-Salvati, ELAC Foundation Board President.
“ELAC is thankful to Edison for providing this scholarship to our students. These scholarships will be vital in ensuring that our students can focus on school and not worry about the financial burden of college,” said ELAC President Alberto J. Roman.
