The Abraham Sandoval Initiative Scholarship

 

 

Abraham Sandoval Esq., LL.M.

Based out of Santa Monica, California, Mr. Sandoval is a highly accomplished civil
litigation trial attorney holding additional credentials as a real estate broker, and mortgage loan
originator. Mr. Sandoval has extensive experience in various aspects of real estate, development,
banking, and law. Mr. Sandoval is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of California
and District of Columbia (DC).

 

Mr. Sandoval served as two-time Chair of the Real Estate Law Society at Loyola Law
School, Los Angeles, where he concomitantly received a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws, in
Taxation. Mr. Sandoval was also a Production Editor of the Entertainment Law Review at
Loyola. Mr. Sandoval received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in
Sociology at UC Irvine. Mr. Sandoval further holds three certificates: in Real Estate and
Development from the Ross Program at USC; Real Estate at UCLA Extension, earned with
distinction; and a third from NYU’s Stern School of Business in Corporate Sustainability. Mr.
Sandoval is also part of the Executive MBA program at the prestigious USC Marshall School of
Business. Mr. Sandoval is a member of the California Association of Realtors, the Pacific West
Association of Realtors, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA),
Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and a Litigation Section member of the California
Lawyers Association (CLA) and Litigation Section member of the DC Bar Community.

 

Mr. Sandoval currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate and Law at East
Los Angeles Community College teaching Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Finance, Legal
Aspects of Real Estate, and Business Law as well as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Law at
California State University Los Angeles’ School of Business and Economics.

 

 

 

 

 

The TAS Initiative Scholarship

The Abraham Sandoval Initiative Scholarship was founded by ELAC Adjunct Professor of Real
Estate, Business, and Law, Abraham Sandoval. As a first-generation attorney and entrepreneur,
Professor Sandoval is founder of Sandoval Law, APC, a civil litigation law firm based in Santa
Monica, California dedicated to assisting clients in underserved communities.

The Scholarship has been established to assist East Los Angeles Students who demonstrate the
potential to make a meaningful impact in their communities and bring about positive social
change in the real estate, business, or legal arenas.

• $500-$1,000+ scholarships per scholarship recipient

Requirements
• Applicant must be an ELAC student in the Business Administration Department studying one or more of the
following disciplines: Real Estate, Business, or Law.
• Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or better.
• Student must be enrolled in six (6) or more units at ELAC for the term that they are applying for this scholarship
Essay Question
Choose any of the following and write a brief essay no longer than one page, double spaced.
• Please describe your vision for using your education to make a difference in your
community.
• Please describe an issue of particular importance to you in the real estate, business, or
legal arenas, and why it’s of such importance to you.
