Christian Contreras

Christian Contreras is a civil rights lawyer, criminal defense lawyer, business lawyer, and trial lawyer with offices in Montebello and Beverly Hills, California. Mr. Contreras is a partner in the civil rights firm Guizar, Henderson & Carrazco, LLP where his practice primarily focuses on litigating civil rights cases. Mr. Contreras is also a co-founder of Justice X. Justice X is a social justice pro bono law firm dedicated to advancing the interests of marginalized communities. In addition to the foregoing, Mr. Contreras is also a shareholder in the law firm Fischbach, Dove & Contreras, APC where his practice focuses on trials, business litigation, general counsel to companies, and advising individuals and companies in policy and legal compliance. Mr. Contreras is driven by his background as the son of a mother who was permanently paralyzed after a tragic accident which led to his mother and him becoming homeless for a few years while he was a teenager. While being homeless in Skid Row Downtown, Los Angeles, Mr. Contreras experienced first hand the great need in Los Angeles communities so he embarked on the journey to become a lawyer. Mr. Contreras now dedicates his time to pro-bono and public interest causes which will help individuals and communities in need. Some recent causes Mr. Contreras has been involved in is testifying at the State Capitol in support of Senate Bill 271, mentoring students in the Pathway to Law School program at ELAC, launching an education initiative to educate impoverished students about the law and their rights, and representing individuals pro bono.
